6-Day Camping Safari in Tanzania

A 6-day camping safari in Tanzania is an incredible way to experience the beauty and wildlife of this amazing country. You’ll have the opportunity to explore some of Tanzania’s most iconic national parks, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

During your safari, you’ll travel in a 4×4 vehicle with a knowledgeable guide who will help you spot some of Tanzania’s most incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the local Maasai culture and visit some of their villages.

Arrival in Arusha

You’ll arrive in Arusha, where you’ll meet your safari guide and transfer to your camping accommodation for the night. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the town and visit some local markets.

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its large elephant population, as well as its diverse birdlife and baobab trees. You’ll spend the day on a game drive, taking in the stunning scenery and searching for wildlife. In the evening, you’ll return to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park

Today, you’ll head to Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous parks in Tanzania. You’ll spend two full days exploring the park and its incredible wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeest. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit Maasai villages and learn about their traditional way of life. Each night, you’ll stay in a comfortable campsite in the park.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest intact volcanic calderas in the world. You’ll spend the day on a game drive, exploring the crater and its incredible wildlife, including the rare black rhino. In the evening, you’ll return to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Departure

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Arusha, where your safari will come to an end. Depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity to visit some local markets or explore the town before your transfer to the airport.
