Tarangire National Park

On Day 1 of your 5-day camping safari in Tanzania, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park. The drive will take approximately two hours. Upon arrival, you’ll begin a game drive in the park. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants, and you’ll likely see many of them during your game drive. You may also see other animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo. Tarangire is also a bird watcher’s paradise with over 500 bird species recorded in the park.

After your game drive, you’ll head to your campsite where you will have dinner and spend the night. The journey will take approximately 6-7 hours, with a stop at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a view of the crater. The crater is one of the world’s largest inactive volcanic calderas and is home to an abundance of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and rhinos.

After the crater view, you’ll continue your journey to the Serengeti National Park, which is known for its vast plains and the annual wildebeest migration. You’ll stop for lunch at a picnic site before continuing the drive to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your accommodation in Arusha, marking the end of your safari adventure.
